Phenix Marble Company Tour

Last month, APTCP members and guests had the opportunity to tour the newly reopened historic Phenix Marble Company near Springfield, a Missouri company that boomed between 1884 to the Great Depression. Operated by Mastin Simpson and W.C. Scarritt from Kansas City, Phenix Marble Company became famous for their signature stone, Napoleon Gray. Buildings all across America were clad with this native Missouri stone, including the New York Stock Exchange and the Palace of the Legion in San Francisco.
