Join APTCP for a "Happy Hour" focusing on dry laid stone walls at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City on July 18, 2019. The event will focus on artist Andy Goldsworthy’s “Walking Wall”, a 100 meter dry-laid stone wall currently being installed at the museum. Attendees will learn about the construction of dry-laid stone walls from Andy Goldsworthy’s team, the history of dry-laid stone walls in Kansas City and the central plains from the Kansas State Archeologist, and hear the story behind this ambitious undertaking from the Nelson-Atkins Director of Design and Experience.
This event will be limited to 30 attendees. Large portions of this event will be taking place outside, please dress weather appropriate. Food and drinks will be available to purchase from the Museum.
